You must read this before you go to spend thousands of dollars

The best dog you can have may come from an animal shelter. Are you going to tell me that you’d rather spend thousands just to get a “purebred” dog? Most people don’t really know what that means anyway… why not consider rescuing a dog from a shelter? It is not unusual to find even thoroughbreds in shelters. Every county in

Animals that end up in animal shelters are sometimes just lost and quickly recovered by their owners, but some of the animals that are in animal shelters are what I call “disposable.” People thought they wanted a dog, but it turns out they don’t really want a dog. So, to solve the problem, they simply drop the poor dog off at the local animal shelter and go on their merry way without looking back or thinking about what will happen to the dog they are abandoning.

So what happens to them? Many of them are killed because there simply aren’t enough people going to the shelters to adopt. There are some “no kill” shelters, however, there are not as many of these as they are privately funded.

Before you spend thousands of dollars on a breeder, go to your local shelter and take a look. Of course, many of the dogs
they are mestizos, but you will also find purebred dogs. Unless you’re going to show the dog,
no matter what your pedigree.
