See the natural wonders of the world

Music, internet, high-tech gadgets… they are everywhere. It is the new trend of leisure in this modern world. We surrender to this latest and most advanced creation of man. He makes our life easy but complicated. We forget about our environment, about our nature from where we get everything. We are amazed at what technology can achieve, but we neglect our true treasure…the natural wonders of the world.

There are so many natural wonders that this world can offer. We can choose from a variety of terrestrial and aquatic forms:

There is the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It is the largest coral reef in the world inhabited by approximately 1,500 species of marine fish and 360 species of hard corals. Divers from different parts of the world visit this place to witness the amazing view from the water.

The Grand Canyon in the North American state of Arizona is also one of nature’s most amazing creations. It is 277 miles long, about 18 miles wide, and over a mile deep. It is a beautiful place to take postcards on the plateau and a great experience for lovers of heights.

Victoria Falls is one of the largest waterfalls in the world. It is located on the Zambezi River between the countries of Zimbabwe and Zambia in southern Africa. It has a total height of 108 meters and an average flow of 38,430 cubic feet/s. The falls are popular for their white water and curtain-like appearance.

Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world above sea level. It has an elevation of 8,848 meters (29,029 ft) and is located on the border between Nepal, China and Tibet in the Himalayas. It has a bluish and whitish appearance caused by the rocks that make up the mountain and the snow that covers it. Due to its height, many mountaineers are attracted to climb this historic place despite the dangers they may encounter on their adventure. This has become a tourist spot for climbers.

The aurora in the polar region became famous for its spectacular display of natural light emitted by the collision of charged particles directed by the Earth’s magnetic field. It is visible at north and south latitudes between 60 and 70 degrees.

There are so many other natural wonders that this world has. Technology and modern life help us in many ways, but remember that nature produces everything: the food we eat; the water we drink; the houses we live in; and everything around us came from nature. Therefore, we must protect our environment! Help plant trees, save water and energy, and reduce pollution.
