Leverage Your Homepreneur Business Through Video Marketing

Do you use video weekly as a way to market your business?

I have to admit that this is the only area of my marketing that I am lacking. Look, it’s not that I didn’t know I needed to make videos. 10 hours of video are uploaded every minute, every day on YouTube. 52% of YouTube members return weekly. The median income for YouTube users is $ 74,000 with disposable income and they have a college education.

So yeah, it’s silly of me or YOU not to use this as a marketing tool.

However, an associate shared something with me that I didn’t know he was feeling. He said he felt something similar to what I felt when he started making videos. At first, she didn’t like the way she spoke, how she looked (and she’s beautiful by the way, so this is funny), she was uncomfortable with what she was saying and how to say it, etc., etc. Well, I felt like I felt the same way, so I kept putting off this part of my marketing funnel. It’s weird because I enjoy public speaking and I lead quite a few teleclasses on a monthly basis, yet I was uncomfortable in front of a camera.

So if you can relate, but want to capture some of this incredible market that is addicted to video, here are some suggestions:

  • Make a video every day for a week and just practice.
  • In the second week, no matter what you think of the video, post it to your YouTube channel, Facebook or blog.
  • If at this point, you’re like “NO WAY, I’m not going to do this,” then use your photos and your voice to make a video. People will still be able to connect with you.
  • Keep your videos in less than 2 minutes
  • Share an experience. Share something you have learned. Share good content. Just share!
  • Have a call to action at the end of your videos to click on a link to rate, comment or subscribe, or perhaps a product or service that you have.
  • Schedule your video in your weekly marketing schedule i.e number of blogs, number of articles, number of videos, number of Facebook / Twitter comments, which will you post weekly and when. Start small and then add to this as it grows.

This is what you will start to experience:

  • You will start attracting customers who can better connect and engage with you
  • Your ability to communicate will greatly improve
  • Your message will start to become much more powerful because people feel like they almost know you now that they can put a face with their voice, not just read the words.
  • Your message is sent one to many, taking advantage of your time and attracting more customers.
  • You start to be okay with yourself, flaws and everything
  • This will also help you in other areas of your business because you will feel more comfortable in your day-to-day interaction.
  • You will also feel more comfortable speaking in public

I’ve seen videos that lead new business owners without clients to have an incredible following. Find your niche, be honest and authentic with who you are, and you’ll start making connections around the world.

Stay tuned for my videos and tell me about your experience and success too!
