Gastritis is a disease characterized by irritation and inflammation of the lining of the stomach. The lining of our stomach secretes certain enzymes, acids that aid digestion. It also secretes mucus that protects the stomach lining from the corrosive action of acid. Inflammation of the lining of the stomach or gastritis decreases the production of digestive enzymes and acids, jeopardizing the digestion process. Acute gastritis is caused by a sudden and severe inflammation of the stomach lining. If gastritis continues for a long period, it becomes chronic in nature. Erosive gastritis is a type that results in loss of the stomach lining due to erosion or wear and tear. Erosive gastritis can be acute or chronic and can result in the formation of serious ulcers. Erosive gastritis caused by surgery, illness, or injury is also known as stress gastritis.

3. Chewing and lightly sucking on two pieces of cloves can relieve gastritis.

4. Drinking a glass of milk every night before going to bed helps to effectively cope with gastritis.

5. You can consume four crushed garlic cloves every morning on an empty stomach. This is an effective remedy for gastritis.

6. If you eat a large meal, to eliminate the possibility of gastritis, you can take a glass of water mixed with 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and a teaspoon of honey.

7. Sucking on a piece of brown sugar after meals is a cure for gastritis.

8. Fennel seeds can be boiled in water, strained and sweetened with honey, and then drunk frequently to combat gastritis.

9. You can take two teaspoons of white vinegar after each meal to control gastritis.
