An exciting and responsible future awaits those who are in Christ Jesus, the Son of God!

Inside an ordinary light bulb there is a positive wire and a negative wire. Both are necessary to give light and power to dispel darkness.

We need both in the ministry of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

We like to think that we in the Western world have a system of government that is the best. We call it democracy. Well, it is better than many other systems, but what Almighty God decrees, and always has, is a dictatorship, and the important thing is to have a good dictator.

Jesus Christ is the correct dictator, and when we pray, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven: your kingdom come,” this is exactly why we are reading in the book of Revelation and in chapters 20 and 21 and 22, that we are praying It will happen when the King returns, and not until!

Then and only then will we have a world of peace and a world in peace.

There will be no more armies and no more wars. It will be time to beat swords into plowshares, with the capital the New Jerusalem. That will be a shock to many.

All this is not limited to man alone, but there will also be peace among the animals, since the lion and the lamb will lie down together, and that will be fulfilled when the Lion of the tribe of Judah and the Lamb of God return.

The Bible makes wonderful sense when we don’t change it.

When Jesus Christ comes to reign, the earth will be full of justice, and it will be justice for all, justice for the oppressed and the poor, and everyone will have enough to eat. It will be a reign of peace, prosperity and justice.

Jesus Christ will fill the earth with the knowledge and glory of God, and will share His throne with others, with those who are called, chosen and faithful.

Do you see how all of this relates so relevantly to our personal lives now? When Jesus comes, it will be too late to change your mind. It will be too late to start preparing to be faithful.

This is not theological theory. This is not something remote. How we react to these verses will determine how we live next week, because this Chapter focuses on Jesus Christ and the reign of Jesus Christ on earth, when he comes to reign visibly and physically.

If you are called by Jesus Christ, and if you know that Jesus Christ has chosen you, then be completely faithful to Him now, and prepare to reign with Him when He returns to this earth.

What we believe greatly influences our behavior. Belief affects our behavior and doctrine affects our action and our creed determines our conduct. That is why belief, doctrine, and creed are so crucially and vitally important.

These visions are being given to the apostle John, who was the youngest of the twelve disciples of Jesus, and now John is over ninety years old and has been imprisoned for his faith in Christ on the island of Patmos, off the coast of the current Turkey. John sees the martyrs, those faithful witnesses of Jesus Christ, and they are reigning.

Are Christians aware of this today? Do people know that those who are called, faithful and chosen by Jesus Christ and who are ‘born again’ will one day reign with Jesus Christ when He returns?

It is an exciting future that awaits those who are in Christ Jesus, and so it is good to take some time now to make sure that all is well in your life when He returns. He repent and believe and be baptized in water and receive the power of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. That helps a man lay the foundation on which everything else can be built.
