WotLK Relics Guide: Where You Can Find Them

Along with all the other new additions to Wrath of the Lich King, a new item type was also added: Heirlooms. These items are ACCOUNT bound and can only be transferred to other characters on their own account. This is an interesting idea to say the least. None of the relics are drops, but they must be found by receiving rewards in the Wrath of the Lich Kings content. This content is usually used by veteran players who are already around 80 years old.

If you participate in Wotlk Content, you will find the relics designated to help in PVE or PVP.

Emblems of Heroism are designed more for PvE and can be found by defeating heroic bosses or by completing 10 or 25 man raids. Before you rush to buy relics with the emblems, be sure to take a look at the other items you can buy with them for your main. Relics are good for leveling up, but if you want to focus on equipping your main, be sure to check out the epic gear you can buy with your emblems of heroism.
