Web Design – Takes You Into The World Of Web Technology

Sir Tim Berners-Lee was the first web designer and inventor of the World Wide Web. He launched the first online website on August 6, 1991. He summarized Internet communication (compiled with emails) with hypertext transfer protocols.

Initially, web design was based on simple markup languages, the functionality of these languages was very limited. At that time only hyperlinks between pages and design services were available; it became more extensible and context-rich with the advancement of Web technology and Web design.

As time progressed web design languages changed face, one of the main drastic changes was the dynamics of the pages along with the database applications. This particular change gave rise to some new languages like VBscript, JavaScript, ASP, ASP.Net, Cold Fusion, etc. These languages are used to create server-side scripting technology.

CSS and tables:

Stories were widely used in the days of Netscape Navigator, which even supports nested tables. But as Internet Explorer took over the browser market, the whole concept was changed by implementing CSS (Cascading Style Sheet). CSS emphasized the semantic markup of HTML, not the layout of the table; so it helps search engine spiders to understand what is going on inside the page.

Flash and web applications:

With the invention of Flash, web applications became more lucrative and popular, while the technology became more complex. Flash was introduced by Macromedia in 1996 to promote a television-like application to the world of the Web. It was done by Jonathan Gay; he has made his mark in a very short period of time in the world of the Web.

Animated figures, movies, games can be made using Flash, so it is very useful for developing attractive web applications. Flash has already crossed its fifth version and contains a large amount of code to develop graphical interfaces. Today it has more than 500,000 developers and runs on more than 250 million computers.

Photoshop and Web Applications:

Photoshop was invented by the Knoll brothers, Thomas and John Knoll. Development began in 1987 when the two were working on a digital imaging project.

Initially, they invented a small subroutine for computer graphics and applied it in a program called Display. In 1990 Adobe released the first official version, Photoshop 1.0, which was the improved version of that subroutine.

After its release, Photoshop captured the top position in the graphics market. Now Photoshop 7.0 is on the market and it has knocked all its competitors down.
Photoshop is compatible with Windows and Mac OS

Dynamic web design:

Web pages can be dynamically styled in two ways: server-side and client-side methods.

Server-side scripts are based on web server technology where a user’s requirement is achieved by executing a script directly on the server. This technique is used to create user-interactive pages where third-party interference is required, such as databases or animated movies.

This technology provides more control over the script and more script functionality. Examples of server-side scripting languages are ASP, ASP, .NET, JavaScript, Cold Fusion, etc.

Client-side scripts are based on the modules of web programs that run in the user’s browser on the client-side. These programs do not run on the Web Server. These applications are usually implemented to decorate the pages and to call some environment variables etc. An example of a client-side scripting language is JavaScript.

Business values of Web Development:

The people who work with web design are countless. Most of the large and medium-sized companies have already promoted their business through the web. Now there are many existing sites that also need to be redesigned and regenerated.

Also, companies that have not yet published their sites will be launching it in the very near future. Therefore, the business scope in the web development sector is very high. Online businesses are slowly becoming the best advertising medium, especially for small businesses.
