Avoid cold sores this winter!

How many times are you content with your day only to have it ruined by that unmistakable tingling sensation that you know means an upcoming bout of cold sores? As a sufferer since my early years, I have often wondered if there is any way I can stop or, at worst, help prevent cold sores.

When I was a teenager, I would have a flare-up once every six or seven weeks, and at that age, it really affects your self-esteem. I spent my late teen years trying every single program, every medication, and every home cure I could in an attempt to stop the fever blisters. When I was in my early 20s, I luckily had about one cold sore a year, at worst only two. Not bad for a person who would expect a cold sore episode every 6 weeks.

I tried it all year after year, drying the scab, keeping the scab moist, picking it up, putting it down, take your pick and I did it! I must have tried using at least 50 what are known as ‘home remedies’ that I had heard from recommendations or on the internet. While many of these had varying levels of success, I found that the easiest way to begin with was to reduce the cold sores.

First of all, I adjusted my eating plan, although I was not fat, I was definitely someone who ate what I wanted and at any time of the day. My intake of fresh fruit and water was the first thing I did to help prevent the recurrence of fever blisters. My second step was to sleep for seven hours instead of the five that I had been sleeping. So I stopped playing Xbox at 10pm at night and went to sleep instead of staying up until the wee hours playing video games.

Which of these things helped the most? I’m not entirely sure, but a combination of them helped me lessen my episodes and allowed me to lead a normal life other than 1-2 times a year. Other causes of breakouts include stress, I was just a teenager at this stage and living with my parents so it would be fair to say that I had a stress free life anyway, apart from the stress of constant herpes breakouts. lip. If you suffer from stress, trying to get this in order could help stop cold sores.
