Anything Is Possible: 3 Inspiring Examples Of Our Bodies’ Amazing Ability To Change Shape

Einstein said: “Reality is simply an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.” Quantum physics holds that nothing is solid; everything is energy in motion, giving the appearance of solidity. It is the combined power of our intention, feeling, and imagination that shapes and reshapes our bodies and our lives. I love that reality is so malleable and malleable; It reassures me that anything is possible, even curing cancer.

I have been on a cancer journey for over 3 years and am a big believer in the healing power of intention. I was lying in my husband Tom’s arms recently and we were meditating together, like we do every morning. I felt treasured, sustained, healed and whole. I imagined carrying this same feeling to my future selves, visualizing myself transforming through my 60s, 70s, and 80s, seeing myself healthy and happy in my 80s, imagining myself high-fiveing Tom and saying, “We hit our 80s! And you’re still being cute,” I tell him. “And you still have the body of a 20-year-old,” he tells me. (We can imagine whatever we want :o)

Believing this is possible makes it more possible. So, to bolster my belief, I’ve been collecting some deeply inspiring examples of the magical, malleable, shape-shifting ability of our amazing bodies. I would like to share 3 of these examples with you:

1. In Anita Moorjani’s memoir, Dying to Be Me, she describes being in the hospital, unconscious, her organs shutting down, dying from the cancer that had spread throughout her body. While she was unconscious, she had a remarkable near-death experience in which she learned many things about the meaning of life and was told that she could return to her body and live a life of purpose. Although her body was devastated, she was assured that she would return to full health. She decided to go back to her body. In just a few weeks, her condition rapidly improved until she was completely cancer free. She writes, “That made me realize that nothing is solid (or real). We can change anything.”

2. Here’s another powerful example of our mind-boggling ability to instantly change the composition of our bodies. In her book, Your Body Is Your Subconscious Mind, renowned neuroscientist Dr. Candace Pert (you may remember her from the movie What the Bleep) writes about her research on multiple personality disorders, showing that one personality can have a disease, such as such as diabetes, while another does not. One may be myopic while another is myopic. Some even have different colored eyes! It is the same body, but the emotions and beliefs of each personality change the molecular composition of their body in seconds! She writes that instead of being solid, “our bodies are more like flickering flames. They change with our emotional states.”

3. Best-selling author Gregg Braden has released a stunning video documenting the disappearance of a baseball-sized tumor from a woman’s bladder within minutes. This was done in China by three practitioners who generated within themselves the feeling that the woman was already cured. The woman also believed. During this focused and deeply felt intention, an ultrasound shows that the tumor disappears in less than 3 minutes. The key is to feel it and believe it as if it were already so. Just as Jesus promised: “Whatever you pray and ask, believe that you have received it, and you will receive it.” [Mark 11:24]

Every morning I now do my visualization meditation where I transform forward in time, seeing myself vibrating in perfect health, love and happiness; feeling it and believing it as if it were already so.

It is never too late to heal our bodies and our lives. Is there an area of your life that is ready to change shape? Through the power of belief, imagination, and intention, anything is possible!
