Pretty Woman is the movie that made the brilliant Julia Roberts famous. It is an excellent movie to discuss the Law of Attraction. The concept of WANT is an integral part of the teachings of the LAW OF ATTRACTION. Everything we WANT (or ask for) is always given, WE ASK AND IT IS GIVEN. To receive what we ask for, we must enter into great positive emotion and confidence and know that it will manifest.
At first, Kit just used the rent money to pay a pimp and Vivian is furious. When Vivian confronts Kit, Kit says, “Don’t irritate me”, Vivian angrily responds, “It irritates you, it irritates you, I just saw a girl taken out of a dumpster, don’t you want to get out of there?” Here! He decides to go in his lawyer’s car and go back to his hotel. As he passes the spot where Vivian and Kit are rushing that night, he has trouble driving the Lotus Supreme he has borrowed. At first, Barney, the hotel manager, sees Vivian walking through the hotel dressed as a prostitute. He calls her into his office to examine her for “inappropriate behavior.” He causes her frustration during this meeting because she has just been denied service at some clothing stores because of how she is dressed. Shaken by his anguish, he calls his good friend, Bridget, who works in a women’s clothing store. Bridget is kind and relaxes Vivian, while helping her in transforming her outer beauty.

The unethical and unkind business practices of Edward Lewis are manifested at dinner with Mr. Morris and his grandson David. Morris, another businessman, is having financial difficulties and has to sell his company, although he does not want to let it go. Mr. Morris and David abruptly leave dinner early because they are so upset with Edward’s practices of trashing companies and selling parts and, most of all, his arrogance.
Later that night, Vivian says, “I think she likes Mr. Morris.” She begins to become his conscience. Edward obviously hasn’t felt good about his job because he’s quick to fire her. It is clear that Edward is moving towards his true self, the loving, kind and powerful man that he really is. Vivian has inspired him with her kindness. The day before the deal ends, Edward says “I’d really love to see you again. I’ve arranged to have an apartment and a car and some money and a lot of other things arranged for you.” It is then that Vivian reaches clarity and shares her dream of what she really WANTS. “I want to be loved by a handsome prince, I want the whole package, the house, the white fence, the husband, everything. She realizes that she won’t settle for less than all the dream.
In a conversation with Kit, who came to the hotel to visit her, Kit realizes that she has fallen in love with Edward. In their conversation, the only person they can think of that has fully worked is “Cinderella.” They both laugh. In the last scenes Vivian says to Edward “you made me a very nice offer and now everything has changed, you changed that and now I WANT more”. When Edward is taken to the airport with the same driver who drove Vivian home the day before, he ends up stopping to buy flowers and then asks the driver to go to Vivian’s with opera music blasting in the background.
