Motorola Backflip Vs HTC MyTouch 3G Slide Vs Samsung Moment

When talking about the latest trend in the field of smartphones, only two things come to mind: its touch screen and its physical QWERTY keyboard.

What is most interesting about all this is that smartphones that used a stylus lost their popularity, while the iPhone with its touch screen and the next three devices with the opportunity of the QWERTY keyboard continued their march.

I’m talking about Motorola’s Motorola Backflip, HTC’s MyTouch 3G Slide and of course Samsung’s Samsung Moment. All three devices, except for the fact that they have the physical keyboard, are also equipped with the same operating system.

The basis of the three is the Android operating system: for Motorola Backflip it is Android 1.5, while for the HTC device it is 2.1, which is much better in terms of functionality.

The design of the device is very similar. But when HTC has a range of three pretty bright colors to choose from and the Backflip has a sophisticated metal-like coverage, then Samsung Moment isn’t all that noteworthy.

The next interesting factor is the display of the devices. Its measurements are 3.4, 3.2, 3.1. Here the numbers speak against Motorola, but then the fact that both Backflip and MyTouch are based on HVGA and Samsung on AMOLED changes the picture.

As for better Motorola Backflip support, we could mention its camera. It’s a 5 megapixel camera with flash, 5X zoom, autofocus, and of course a self-timer. All of these features are also present in MyTouch 3G, but the most important zoom feature is missing.
